Access

Professional: Rachel joined Access in 2007 and manages the public relations team. Her experience at Access includes successful media relations efforts within a variety of business and consumer industries, including high-tech manufacturing, building, design and construction, and travel and tourism. Her work to promote the Virginia Law Foundation Rule of Law project for middle school students has helped the program spread internationally. Prior to joining Access, she held positions as a technical writer, a public relations fellow at a Washington, D.C.-based PR firm, and a media relations specialist with the American Diabetes Association national office in Alexandria, Va. During her professional career, Rachel has secured placements with multiple top-tier media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, Bloomberg News, NBC Nightly News, The New York Times, as well as leading trade publications Medical Marketing & Media, Health Facilities Management, Control Engineering, and others. She is a member of the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America Blue Ridge Chapter and the Council of Community Services. 

Personal: Rachel is married to her college sweetheart, and has a passion for reading, photography, and any kind of music. She is also a bit of a weather nerd and dreams of traveling with professional storm chasers through Tornado Alley.
